Who We Are
Light Many Fires is a project focused on civic engagement. Our mission is to facilitate conversations that lead to positive social change and personal development. Guided by our values of empathy and inclusivity, we strive to create a more connected and understanding society. Many people, troubled about our country, ask "What can I do?" We help them answer this question.

The project is led by Richard (Rick) McKnight, PhD, author of When We The People Lead, The Leaders Will Follow. Rick is an organizational psychologist, writer, and artist devoted to strengthening democracy and renewing community life.
Mission
The Light Many Fires mission is to foster civic engagement and promote the health of our democracy. We are dedicated to sparking meaningful conversations that drive positive social and individual transformation. By fostering open dialogue and insight, we aim to create a more empathetic and inclusive world for all. Join us in our mission to light the fires of change and growth.
Our key goal is to effect an internal shift: From the belief that my job as an American is merely to vote and then let the politicians do whatever they wish, to the understanding that my job is that of a Citizen with a responsibility to get politicians to create an America that works for all of us.
